it's gonna be japan vs china in the finals.. =(
japan beat chinese tapei 60-57 with a 3 pointer from no.12 with 1.42 seconds left..
takada didn't play much cause she got into early foul trouble.. =(
and those physically stronger chinese players were too strong for her to handle anyway
chinese taipei played a right game.. although they were not technically as good as japan.. they decided to play a physical game and continuously used their centres to back down the japanese players.. however.. Kozue Tanaka, Akino Nakagawa, Satoko Bessho all gave very credible performances.. and not to forget Asami Yoshida's game winning 3 pointer with 1.42 seconds left in the game.. you could just see that the chinese taipei players were so deflated when the 3 point attempt went in.. =)
i like japan.. and i'm rooting for them to win tmr!
korea lost to china 78-70?
kind of a pity.. Park Se Mi played a brilliant game and so did Lee Sun Hwa.. Kim Youn Joo was very much kept out of the game by China's' Wu Jing Jing.. =(
Technically.. the korean players were much better.. but with China's 2.06m Wei Wei and 1.9+ Huang Hongpin commanding the boards.. it was no wonder korea lost out in the final stages of the game.. =(
i feel dam sad.. cause korea has the nicest team spirit i've ever seen in a team and they always look so excited! but oh well.. they'll most likely finish 3rd in this tournament.. park se mi.. i wonder how old she is man! 18 or 19? such a brilliant player! hopefully.. next year's tournament will be held in singapore so i can watch.. =P ( ok.. i know i'm dreaming )
singapore will be playing in level 1 next year after beating thailand today! i didn't even know that jia ling was playing for singapore!!! =/
we will just have Zhou Lei to thank for cause she commanded the boards as well as taking up the scoring role! Koh Wei Bin, Serene Lee and Esther Ong all gave ok performances.. although i really expect much more from Wei Bin
yup.. tmr's the last day i'll see mariko.. =(
i hope i'll be able to take a photo of her ( or with her )
i hope japan beats china! and to do that..
1) they'll need Risa Tsukano to stop Wei Wei again
2) Sari Fujiyoshi, Kozue Tanaka, Akino Nakagawa, Satoko Bessho to all play their A games
3) Mariko Takada to still look as cute! and then everything will be just fine! =)
4) stop Yang Banban - Asami Yoshida's job
5) Asami needs to give another great performance once again
no doubt.. the title of MVP will be contested between Yang Banban and Asami Yoshida.. so who's going get it?
we'll find out tmr!
