OMG! i wonder if playing basketball for clubs in japan can really bring a steady income.. i guess this is the reason why the japanese basketball players play so much better than the singapore players.. all because they can play the sport for their careers.. that's why there's a japanese player in the NBA right now.. 3 chinese players have already made their mark there and one upcoming korean player too!

China beat korea by 2 points! the score was tied with a minute remaining and the Chinese team used their same old tatic of getting the ball inside and attacking the basket.. if my memory serves me right.. 90% of Chinese Taipei's points came from inside the paint.. =(
Park Se Mi once again gave a very good game.. and so did Lee Sun Hwa ( number 12 ).. however.. the latter got hit in the nose real bad and bled like mad
Kim Youn Joo (number 5 ) once again was subdued the whole game.. =(
i dunno why.. =( it was like she was afraid to play.. haiz.. i was looking forward so much to watch her play well..
Cheon Min Hye (number 9) also gave a very good performance..
the bad point.. many players became overly-physical due to bad refereeing.. =/

Finals:
Japan got into big trouble early on as star player Asami Yoshida injured her left thigh very early in the game.. However.. Chie Kabaya ( number 11 ) stepped in and gave a very good performance too! well done! Despite the Chinese too scoring 90% of their points in the paint.. Japan managed to keep close as Akino Nakagawa ( number 9 ) stepped up her scoring..
Mariko gave a very credible performance too! but once again.. she got into early foul trouble..
haiz.. i'm glad Kozue Tanaka ( number 7 ) played dam well! she scored on like every single 3-point attempt!
when the score was 67-60 to the Japanese.. Asami came back into the game and instantly worked her magic as she scored a 3 pointer on the fast break and one very beautiful play!
67-67: China's Wang Qin managed to draw a foul and convert both free throws as they held on for the win..

haiz.. both the teams with the bigger players won.. they managed to get good shots compared to the smaller teams.. =(
this is sad.. but this is life..

chinese taipei played a right game.. although they were not technically as good as japan.. they decided to play a physical game and continuously used their centres to back down the japanese players.. however.. Kozue Tanaka, Akino Nakagawa, Satoko Bessho all gave very credible performances.. and not to forget Asami Yoshida's game winning 3 pointer with 1.42 seconds left in the game.. you could just see that the chinese taipei players were so deflated when the 3 point attempt went in.. =)

korea lost to china 78-70?
kind of a pity.. Park Se Mi played a brilliant game and so did Lee Sun Hwa.. Kim Youn Joo was very much kept out of the game by China's' Wu Jing Jing.. =(
Technically.. the korean players were much better.. but with China's 2.06m Wei Wei and 1.9+ Huang Hongpin commanding the boards.. it was no wonder korea lost out in the final stages of the game.. =(
i feel dam sad.. cause korea has the nicest team spirit i've ever seen in a team and they always look so excited! but oh well.. they'll most likely finish 3rd in this tournament.. park se mi.. i wonder how old she is man! 18 or 19? such a brilliant player! hopefully.. next year's tournament will be held in singapore so i can watch.. =P ( ok.. i know i'm dreaming )

singapore will be playing in level 1 next year after beating thailand today! i didn't even know that jia ling was playing for singapore!!! =/

great first match! china vs japan
the match was very much tightly contested from start to end..
china has a very tall centre! 2.04m! and that's a girl who's not even 20 yet! OMG!
however.. despite her height advantage.. she was plain lazy and never made any good movement in the box.. japan won in the end by 3 points.. and can you believe it? i actually cried!
cause i just felt happy for them.. ^^

prom dinner sucked.. yes it did.. the food was like #(@*#&@(#&@(# but more importantly.. the company was great.. FLYING DUTCHMAN was great! i simply love him man! his ability to communicate with such a big crowd is simple wonderful.. pro!
our table sabo-ed lynette and nominated her for prom-queen.. and yes.. she kind of did well.. was actually expecting her to win!
